Things You Should Do Before Booking a Villa Holiday

Villas can provide a comfortable, relaxing base for your holiday; whether it is with your family or a group of your friends.

However, just like other holidays, there are things that you should consider before jumping in and booking that perfect villa. You could say that we are somewhat experts in villa holidays, especially as we have some of the most attractive villas with pools in Kefalonia.

So rather than setting yourself up for a holiday disaster, take a look at some of our helpful tips on how to enjoy your villa holiday to the fullest.

Make Sure You Plan Ahead- Appoint a Decision Maker

We’ve all been on a holiday where no one has decided what they want to do when they get to their holiday destination.

Although it can be tempting to sit around in your beautiful villa all day, the excitement of a holiday comes from experiencing life in another part of the world that you aren’t used to.

Make sure that you appoint someone to plan and make decisions during your holiday. This person will be responsible for researching the area and finding activities that the group can participate in while on holiday, and will ultimately make the final decisions and ensure that all aspects of the holiday are prepared for.

Consider the Destination and Location of the Villa

Although you may have fallen in love with a fantastic villa in Thailand, you need to make sure that you are visiting a destination that has things that you want to see and do.

It’s no use booking a villa in a place which is known for its seafood or spicy dishes if you really don’t like eating them.

Once you have chosen a destination for your holiday, it’s important to think about the location of the villa that you are looking at. Are you looking for a villa which is very much out of the way in the quite countryside? Will you have access to transport? Do you want to be in the thick of it with regards to the hustle and bustle of a town?

Make sure that you are looking at an area as a whole and determine which villa is in the best location for what you want to do while you are on holiday, as well as being accessible and within a reasonable distance of the local amenities.

Check What Basics Will Be In Your Villa Before You Arrive

It may not seem like an important aspect to check, but there’s nothing worse than arriving at your holiday villa in the evening and finding that there is no toilet paper available. Unless you are a super-psychic and have brought toilet paper with you, this is going to be quite an inconvenience for you and your group.

Make sure that you find out what exactly will be waiting for you in your villa so that you know to bring tissues or tea and coffee with you to avoid any inconvenience being caused.
