Forget Me Not: The 3 Most Forgotten Travel Items

It’s not uncommon to get to your holiday destination and realise that you haven’t packed something. It’s easier done than you may think, and we know how frustrating it can be – especially if it’s an essential item which just got overlooked during the frantic packing process.

Some items are more frequently forgotten by travellers than others, so make sure that you’ve got these three most forgotten items packed safely away in your suit case!

Even though they are everyday essentials, it might surprise you that they are actually one of the main things that holiday makers forget to pack ready for their holiday.

Whether it’s because they are using the items right until they leave, or simply don’t remember to buy spares to take with them instead, it’s easily done – and we’ve all done it (or almost done it), even if we don’t like to admit it!

Avoid a mad toothbrush and deodorant run on your first day of holiday and ensure that you buy all your holiday toiletries in advance and pack them in a washbag and put it straight in the suitcase – even if you haven’t started packing properly yet!

It’s probably a rare occurrence that your phone or laptop is out of arms reach, but unless you’re planning on having a technology free holiday, you’ll probably want to make sure that you’re packing your chargers, too.

Chargers are another often forgotten item, which is strange because we’re never really without technology anymore. It doesn’t matter whether it’s for your digital camera, your mobile phone or even your e-reader; it’s safe to assume that you’ll need some form of charger while you’re away – and if you forget it, we guarantee you’ll feel lost.

To minimise the chances of you forgetting to pack your charger, why not buy an alternative charger which you can pack straight away, leaving your main charger at home where there’s less chance of it getting lost?

Glasses and Sunglasses

Even when we’re not jetting off on holiday, glasses seem to manage to get themselves lost easily. Sometimes they’re on our heads, other times they appear to have a mind of their own and wander off from where we put them, but ultimately – for many people – they are an every day essential, especially if they are glasses for vision enhancement.

As they are generally on our faces and we don’t notice that they are there, which makes it quite easy to forget them if we’re in a rush to get to the airport. Try and have a spare pair in a bag which you know you will take if you’re heading on holiday – that way you’ll be able to see your lovely holiday destination perfectly!
