We are loath to mention the -other- ‘P’ word, but since we put the pandemic firmly behind us, there has been a huge rise in families wishing to holiday together. Maybe we are all still catching up on lost time, or perhaps we have collectively realised that we never know what’s ’round the corner…
Whatever the reason, holidays have become a popular occasion to spend more time with the people we love most!
Of course it’s not just families who have made ‘party houses’ a more popular search term. Increasingly, groups of friends of all ages have realised they can ‘go large’ and enjoy the benefits and exclusivity of a premium private villa, when sharing the costs. And, while you might want to splash the cash and choose the most luxurious properties in our portfolio in order to make it a celebration to remember, we offer incredibly good value villas for large groups too!

Sleeping up to 12 people with a more-than-generous SEVEN bathrooms, private balconies and terraces galore and, thanks to floor to ceiling doors and windows throughout, views to die for from almost anywhere in the villa. There is even ping pong and table football, as well as a cinema and games room to keep multi-generational groups entertained. Whether your party is enjoying al-fresco meals prepared in the outdoor kitchen’s BBQ, cooling down in the infinity pool or watching the twinkling lights along the sprawling coastline, there’s definitely something for everyone here!

Name? Villa Metapothia Where? Gavalohori, Crete
There’s no need to blow the budget when staying in this Cretan villa gem, as it’s not only one of the largest villas we offer, making it an ideal party house (sleeping up to 13people), but it’s also one of our best-value villas. No wonder it’s one of the most popular in our portfolio, with many families and large groups coming back year after year! All but one bedroom have en-suite bathrooms, the pool has integrated jacuzzi bench seating and a shallow children’s end, and there is an outside ‘chill-out’ Pagoda, if ever you’re after a bit of quiet. The charming village of Gavalohori has some outstanding eateries and a bakery and is a great place to pick up souvenirs thanks to a wealth of artisan crafts on offer.

Name? Villa Taormina Greta Where? Taormina, Sicily
If limitless luxury is your thing, this sleek, contemporary Sicilian property has the largest price tag in our entire portfolio, which seems fitting, given the standard of villa and its location in the celebrity hangout of Taormina. As the backdrop to a special occasion, there’s not many that beat this recently built villa, surrounded as it is by lush green gardens where palm trees lend it a tropical vibe. Villa Greta is split across two levels, the walls of large glass windows and doors affording fantastic views and inviting vast amounts of light in. The stylish living room is divided by a fire-place wall, and there’s comfy seating everywhere. Choose from dining on the outside terrace, or the open plan kitchen diner, both of which make socialising in a large group easy. As you’d expect from luxurious living, there’s a jacuzzi-tub in the largest room, a wellness area with sauna, treadmill and lounger and all mod cons.

Name? Villa Alexandros Where? Spartia, Kefalonia
It’s hard not to feel like a Greek god or goddess when staying here at Villa Alexandros, located as it is in spacious grounds on its own plateau of land on the Liakas Peninsular. The views here are unrivalled, with uninterrupted sea views taking in the white cliffs, Mount Ainos and even the island of Zakynthos. Shady pergolas offer the perfect place to gather for meals or drinks together, and you can get all your supplies from the well-stocked mini markets in Spartia nearby, or from the capital Argostoli, a 15-minute drive away. If anyone in the party should be feeling competitive, there’s table tennis within the grounds.

Name? Villa Papa Where? Cala San Vincente, Mallorca
The twelve sunbeds which surround the large swimming pool give a hint to the size of this stunning, recently renovated farmhouse, but there’s more which makes Villa Papa the perfect party house. Capacious accommodation throughout, in both living and dining areas, whilst the six bedrooms mean everyone has their own space. We love the separate air-conditioned games and leisure annexe, with pool table, table football gym equipment and Smart TV, as well as the outside living areas with BBQ under the large pergola and covered terrace. Although you are surrounded by private gardens and tucked away behind a gated entrance, the beaches and restaurants of Cala San Vincente are just a few minutes away.

Name? Villa Pine Heaven Where? Bobovisca, Brac
‘Location, location, location’ : it’s not often that phrase is so fitting, but just look at where this villa is positioned, perched high on the pine-clad hillside affording spectacular sea and harbour views. No wonder it’s named, ‘Pine Heaven’! Ground floor accommodation is open plan (all the best party houses are), bedrooms have their own private terraces, but it’s the separate guest annexe, complete with its own kitchen, bedroom and two further terraces which make it a boon for multigenerational holidays. For those wanting a day trip to historic Split, it’s just a short ferry ride away, whilst visiting the famous poster beach of Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn) near Bol is a must!
