Tavronitis & Kamisiana
30 km west of Chania, the village of Tavronitis stands at the point where the north coast road sends an exploratory spur wriggling southwards over the mountains to Paleohora. Tourism still remains pretty low key and the village retains an authentic ambience with particularly friendly shopkeepers delighted to have the opportunity to practise their English.
As well as a couple of convenient mini-markets, all our Villas in Tavronitis Crete are near the villages butchers, bakers and patisserie, whilst down by the sea are 3 or 4 excellent fish tavernas strung along the pebbly shore line which stretches some 10km around the bay to Kolymbari notable for its mouth watering choice of harbour side fish tavernas, plus a well stocked supermarket & 3 banks, all with ATM machines.
Finally, for fresh fruit, veg & bags of atmosphere visit the Saturday market in Voukoulies, 7km inland.
If you have any questions or need advice about our Tavronitis Villas, please feel free to call, we love talking holidays.
