The charming village of Sutivan lies just 7 kilometers to the West of the island capital, Supetar. In keeping with the rest of Brac, this is a beautiful unspoilt fishing village centred around an ancient harbour. Indeed, the centre of Sutivan is protected as a cultural monument. The traditional food & wine on offer in the many good restaurants & cafes will underline the fact that you are surrounded by the fruits of the land and the sea here, with fresh-caught seafood and incredible local olive oil, figs, wines, meats and more.
Beaches are laced all around Brac and no holiday to the island would be complete without discovering at least a few. Several white pebble beaches lie near to Sutivan, and one more unusually of sand, any of which make a great starting point for exploring the beautiful coastline.
One of the centres for cycling and mountain-biking on Brac, there are plenty of great trails to explore in the rural surrounds of Sutivan. In Summer a festival of extreme spots is held in the area, celebrating the island’s rich offerings of adrenaline! However, two wheels are not needed, as there is much to explore on foot, starting with the Nature Park Sutivan right on the doorstep. Alternatively, hire a car to reach the further corners of the island such as Vidova Gora, Bol & Zlatni Rat, Milna and Sumartin.
