Villa Anemi
Sleek and contemporary, this three-storey townhouse has been designed for easy holiday living and offers wonderful sea views from the garden, terrace, first and top floor balcony. Once dusk falls, the views are transformed by a myriad of twinkling lights from the village and from Chania, across Souda Bay. If you can bear to leave the grounds and private pool, the village of Sternes is on your doorstop whilst the golden sands and shallow waters of Marathi or Loutraki beaches are a five-minute drive away.

Clean lines and an uncluttered dove-grey façade make this villa both modern and visually appealing, with clean lines adding to the feeling of space. Panoramic sea and mountain views, too, thanks to the villas elevated location, standing as it does on a terraced hillside amongst 5,000 square kilometres of olive groves. Despite the privacy of the location, the sandy beaches, shops and tavernas in Almyrida are within easy walking distance. You’ll find it hard to get the kids to leave the pool, though!

If you’re wanting to get away from it all on the Croatian island of Brac then Villa Dubrava has peace, tranquility and seclusion in spadefuls. Is this the best located villa in Brac? Secluded yet just a few steps through a vineyard to the pebble beach, you’ll be forgiven in thinking this swim spot is your own private piece of ocean. There’s plenty of space both inside and in the villa grounds if you need time to yourself, with a roof terrace, shaded dining area, pool and terrace whilst being totally surrounded by nothing but trees, vines and the sea beyond. The fishing village of Bol is an easy 15-minute walk away, whilst the most Instagram-able beach of Zlatni Rat is less than a kilometre away. A slice of paradise!

One of an exclusive group of villas each set privately in its own gardens on the Liakias peninsular, Villa Ermis and its gardens are all about relaxed living, whether that’s chilling by the pool, eating long, lazy lunches on the dining terrace or soaking up the rays on the sun terrace. Is Villa Atlantis the property which has it all? We think so and, judging by the popularity of this Kefalonian villa, so do our guests. Private with a pool? Tick! Within easy walking distance of an unspoilt sea-side village with fishing harbour? Tick! A choice of tavernas, shops and a baker? You bet! Just a 5 minute walk to the coastal village of Katelios, spacious and bright inside, and a total delight outside with a private pool and smaller jacuzzi pool. The wide terraces are bordered by swathes of greenery and flowering sweet, scented shrubs, palms and banana trees through which you’ll catch glimpses of the sparkling sea beyond.

Forgive us, if you can, for including this Mallorca Villa which although isn’t quite ON the beach front, is in Cala San Vicenc a mere 325 metres from the sandy coves of THREE beaches: Cala Barques, Cala Clara and Cala Molins. Built on two levels, the modern and sleek design is restful and spacious, with beautifully presented accommodation inside and out. Couples will love the pool as well as having a competitive game of table tennis, whilst being able to wander into Cala San Vicente, one of the smallest towns on the island, for dinner or shopping.

Just a kilometre to the Son Bou sea front, you’ll enjoy uninterrupted views over the bay from the private pool and sun terrace, elevated as this villa is amongst the San Jaime hills. There’s also stunning sea vistas from the alfresco dining area at one end and lounge in the other, whilst a built in BBQ makes for easy yet tasty meals. It’s the glorious sea front location, next to a golden crescent of sand which makes Noto Beach Villa, known locally as Brezze Marina such a bit hit with beach lovers. Inside this beautifully presented Villa are three bedrooms, three shower rooms and a spacious open plan living area opening onto the sea view terrace – an extended living area for both day and night whilst a pretty walled garden to one side makes a perfect area for sunbathing. Just a short stroll away is the little resort of Calabernardo with a small choice of restaurants and pizzerias, with others further along at the northern end.
