Best for early summer availability
Where? Skala, Kefalonia
Why? Sit amongst the treetops of cypress, olives, and palms to enjoy outstanding views over the Ionian Sea across to Zante. It’s less than 1km to the quiet and sandy Mounda beach, is close to Skala for tavernas, cafés and shops and is surrounded by shaded walking trails. Lovely private pool and shaded porch.

Where? Kolymvari, Kissamos, Crete
Why? Beautiful, newly renovated and the ideal romantic bolthole for two, you’ll be surrounded by ultra-private gardens and olive groves in a ‘real Crete’ rural setting. A true escape, this villa has retained original and quirky features but is bang up to date, too. The bustling fishing village of Kolymvari is just 10 minutes away. Where? Sami, Kefalonia
Why? Close to one of Kefalonia’s best beaches, Antisamos, this traditionally built
Kefalonian villa offers privacy (electric gates for extra safety), is surrounded by gardens and trees and offers superb views over Sami bay with Ithaki in the far distance. The poolside sun terrace has sun beds, parasols, a hammock, and a shower. There’s also an outside BBQ house with covered dining area.

Best for larger families in peak season
Where? Vrises, Crete
Why? Built on 3 levels, this lovely spacious villa is, when priced per person, one of the best value options we have with good availability all summer. Located off the beaten track in a very rural setting, there are 3 first floor balconies to enjoy the countryside views. The villa is located near Georgioupolis, almost equidistant between Chania and Rethymno so and ideal base to explore west or eastern Crete.

Best for panoramic sea views
Where? Fiskardo, Kefalonia
Why? This super-cute duck-egg blue villa sits amongst the treetops of cypress and olive, and has panoramic sea views of Foki Bay, Lefkas, Meganissi and Ithica islands. The modern, open-plan villa is on 2 levels, with twin rooms at pool level and the master suite on the first floor. Fiskardo, the best-preserved Venetian town on the island is 3 kilometres away.
