Castell de Bellver

Located in Palma de Mallorca, Castell de Bellver leads to the clear waters of Palma Bay. You can see gorgeous 360° views of forests and foothills from the top of the castle. The museum sports Spanish, Roman, and Arab artefacts. Built for King James II of Mallorca in the 14th century, Castell de Bellver is one of only a few circular castles present in Europe. It was used as a military prison during the 18th century and until the middle of the 20th century.

The wonderful architecture of this castle showcases both its use as royal residence and defence outpost. Presently under civilian control, the castle is one of Mallorca’s must-see attractions.
