Crete is a unique island. It offers stunning, dramatic landscapes, amazing wildlife (a lot of it native to Crete and impossible to find elsewhere), beautiful flora, delicious food, and a Mediterranean climate. And, of course, luxurious accommodations that will provide you all the comforts from home and more – and let you holiday in style!
Our Villa Galania, located in Armeni, is one such accommodation. This self-catering villa is perfect for families, as it sleeps a maximum of four and has a pool that will make the little ones very happy. The villa will make you feel very relaxed too, as it even comes with a maid service! You can truly enjoy a home away from home in this villa, so take a look at what you’ll get:
The Greek word for this village is Αρμένοι, which translates to Armenoi; Armeni is its transliteration. No matter what you choose to call it, you only need to know the village is located in the region of Chania and is part of the municipality Apokoronas. And that it can be the location for your next holiday in Crete!
This is a relatively large village, which relies heavily on agriculture, mainly of avocado, olives and oranges. Given that this amazing village is the site for truly beautiful scenery, it doesn’t come as a surprise that we have a villa here at your disposal, ready to be experienced!
So, if you’re looking to spend a few days relaxing in idyllic paradise, Villa Galania is for you! And the best thing is that you can just walk to the local shops and tavernas and drive the mere 10 minutes it takes to reach the sandy beach of Kalives (or Kalyves). The church of Agios Nikolaos is an imposing and beautiful sight, which you can visit and explore.
You won’t lack for local entertainment in Armeni, nor for fantastic cuisine in the tavernas, chilled out days spent walking around, and sunny moments you can share with the whole family!
Villa Galania is located in Armeni and was featured in the Sunday Times’ ‘Europe’s 100 Sexiest Summer Villas’. So, you already know you’re going to enjoy it! This gorgeous villa is set on a small hill above Armeni, but you can easily access the village by walking, as the distance is only 800m.
The villa is reminiscent of a period property, and you’ll be able to enjoy the covered balconies and terraces that provide shade – despite the fact that holidaymakers seek the sun when they go to Crete, it can still be a relief to have a respite from brighter and warmer days than usual! After all, getting sunburned is probably not on your to-do list when you visit Crete!
You can expect the furnishings and equipment to be of the highest standards, as the amenities are certainly modern. On the ground floor, the terracotta-style floors offer a warm, rural aesthetic to the villa; here, you can find a dining area with table and chairs, a fully-equipped kitchen that includes dishwasher, fridge-freezer and oven – and fantastic views towards the mountains!
There is a twin bedroom with en-suite shower room and a master bedroom with double bed on the first floor. The master bedroom also has an en-suite bathroom, a stone fireplace and balconies that will give you some of the best views to wake up to in the morning.
If you’re not keen on spending a lot of time indoors on your holiday, the outdoor area is perfect for you; there’s a children’s pool adjoining the 9m x 4m pool, a dining area, a lounge area, a table soccer game and a BBQ. And the small herb garden will make it so much easier to cook some traditional Cretan dishes, as it’s brimming with parsley, sage, rosemary, thyme, marjoram, mint and others.
